Whether or not, however, the readers of both bestsellers would be, can be found out using intelligence and analysis. DirectGroup Germany integrated the real-time analysis based recommendation system Realtime Decisioning Engine (in short: prudsys RDE) for their online brand name shops at www.derclub.de and www.zeilenreich.de. Preliminary results show that after a short time, the customer satisfaction rate significantly increased. With the system-generated, personalised recommendations, the user found interesting and relevant related products more quickly.

In the future, online customers of Club Bertelsmann will receive book recommendations, that based on their purchasing and surfing behavior, are highly personally relevant for them. Responsible for this process is the real-time analysis-based recommendation system prudsys Realtime Decisioning Engine, in short, prudsys RDE. The innovative algorithms-based system, from real-time analysis expert prudsys, explores the current and historical purchasing and browsing behavior of customers. The system recognizes patterns, for example, which book genres are interesting to an online buyer, and based on that, offers real-time book recommendations, which are highly personalised to the customer.

The prudsys RDE replaces the previously-implemented store recommendations strategy the company has in place, and using the comprehensive A/B test, achieves conclusively better results. After the integration of prudsys RDE, customers purchased remarkably more recommended products, because the new recommendations that were based on personal tastes and interests of each customer were much more effective.
