1-2-3.tv relies on multichannel customisation

After successfully implementing prudsys recommendation technology in the 1-2-3.tv online shop environment, the live TV shopping specialist now also offers customers intelligent and personalised product recommendations in the call centre. As of November 2013 1-2-3.tv newsletter recipients will also receive personalised recommendations.

„Realtime personalisation on all channels“ – that, in a nutshell, is the current customer-oriented and innovative goal of 1-2-3.tv GmbH.
Customers have been receiving product recommendations with a high degree of personal relevance in the online shop of the live shopping specialist since 2009. Now the company has expanded this special form of customer service to orders in the call centre. Customers submitting orders by telephone do not just receive random recommendations from call centre agents but instead recommendations for products that very probably correspond to their purchasing preferences. The prudsys RDE calculates recommendations based on the behaviour of the customer in the online shop as well as completed purchases in the TV shop.

Higher conversion rate and recommendation quality in the call centre
The scope of function of the prudsys RDE | Recommendations module integrated in 2009 has been expanded to automatically include purchase information from TV orders and from the online shop in real time when calculating recommendation for call centre orders. This results in product recommendations that are directly customised to the customer. Up until now the generation of recommendations was static, i.e. barely individualised. With the use of personalised recommendations the quality of recommendations increased dramatically and a conversion rate of 5% was achieved.

Individualised recommendations via newsletter
In addition, personalised recommendations are scheduled to go live in the electronic newsletter in November 2013. To do this, another prudsys RDE module was integrated into the respective shop and software environment. The prudsys RDE | Newsletter module automatically generates personalised content for each newsletter recipient (e.g. with product recommendations, personalised content etc.). Recommendations are based on surfing and purchasing behaviour in the online shop, information from previous TV orders and the clicking patterns in the electronic newsletter.
